About: Alan purchased his hot rod in 2018 as part of his bucket list! His main interest has always been in hot rods and he began to look for a 1928-34 Ford coupe. The 32 became available and Alan thought it was perfect, except for the big engine! The engine is a 454 big block chev, bored out to 468 cubic inches. It has been fully balanced, with no expense spared. It has triple Demon carburettors – turbo 400 transmission, Ford 9″ diff, 4 wheel disc brakes. This car has done 12.3 seconds at the Willowbank drag-strip, which is too fast for Alan. However it is a lovely vehicle to drive and, as Alan puts it, “It only goes as fast on how much you want to put your foot down!”
